A Cup Day winner for Cumani

On Australian racing's grand stage, Matt Cumani saddled up a terrific winner at Flemington on Cup Day, One More Try.

A winner of four races already in her career, One More Try contested the TAB App Trophy (1700m) on Flemington's soggy track early in the day. What was noticeable was how well she was travelling mid-way through the race. Linda Meech had to search for a run at the top of the straight, but that slight delay for a few strides probably helped her as she scooted up the inside and was strong in the concluding stages to edge in front of the wider runner Seductive Miss.

Fresh from his 50 winners in the 2017/18 season, Matt and his team at Ballarat has notched up 12 winners so far this season to be on track for another half-century of winners. With his young crop of horses making their way through the grades, this is a stable to keep watching.

We are very pleased to support Matt with our financial service for the syndication of their horses from the 2018 crop of yearlings. Click on any of the images below for details on each horse.

You can see these horses at Cumani Racing's Stable Open Day at Ballarat on Saturday 24 November (10.30am).
